Frankenstein (2015) - IMDb

Set in present day Los Angeles and told entirely from the perspective of the Monster. After he is artificially created, then left for dead by a husband-and-wife team of eccentric scientists, Adam is confronted with nothing but aggression and violence from the world around him. This perfect creation-turned disfigured monster must come to grips with the horrific nature of humanity.

This movie was amazing for me. I had just watched Victor Frankenstein (2015) - IMDb and saw the story as told from Igor's perspective. This movie tells the tale from the Monster's perspective, Adam. We get a modern day science fiction story with great acting and all the elements of the original Frankenstein - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia by Mary Shelley. It even refers to her Modern Prometheus subtitle.
The 'R' rating is certainly deserved because of the adult concepts displayed. While there are no seriously graphic or explicit scenes the implications of the situations depicted are adult in nature.
I haven't really seen many movies with Carrie-Ann Moss from the The Matrix (1999) - IMDb franchise but I am a fan of Tony Todd (Candyman (1992) - IMDb franchise).
Outstanding performance by the monster, Adam by Xavier Samuel.
Sadly, the trailer doesn't do the movie justice. Adam's experiences are truly heartbreaking and all to reflective of Mary Shelley's description but with an updated, modern twist. Of all the Frankenstein films that have been made this one, in my opinion, ranks in the top three best.
Put this one on your watchlist. Even if you don't care for the classic monster movie, give this one a shot.
Well done, very well done!
