We are in a new world. There has to be a great book lurking in King's mind since January 20th.

So... Comey's appearance can be summed up in two answers.
  • "I don't recall." During this oft repeated phrase I kept hearing in my head the lyrics to "I Don't Remember" by Peter Gabriel. "I don't remember, I don't recall, I got no memory of anything at all."
  • (paraphrased) "I won't answer that because Trump *might* decide to invoke Executive Privilege in the future." Say W.. T... F... ?! :o_O:
The interesting part was watching him squirm a bit when grilled about praising Comey in the past but then saying he should be fired as a result of his ongoing evaluation, an evaluation of which he never discussed with Comey nor ever wrote it down.

Something that I'm surprised the Dem's didn't ask, or if they did I missed it, was that Sessions had recused himself from everything related to the 2016 election then why was he involved with the firing of Comey when the excuse for firing him was.... wait for it.... his behavior during the 2016 election?!

Speaking of our Australian friends.....

Turnbull mocks Trump: Australian Prime Minister imitates US President in leaked audio - CNN.com

Trump and Turnbull met briefly in New York in May on the deck of a US aircraft carrier, where the US leader said their relationship was "fantastic."

Speaking at the ball, Turnbull impersonated Trump's speaking style during the speech when mocking their poor performance in recent opinion polls.

"The Donald and I, we are winning and winning in the polls. We are winning so much! We are winning like we have never won before. We are winning in the polls. We are! Not the fake polls. Not the fake polls. They're the ones we're not winning in. We're winning in the real polls," he said, to applause and laughter.

Turnbull even made fun of Trump's ongoing troubles with allegations of Russian involvement in the 2016 US election.

"You know the online polls. they are so easy to win. I know that. Did you know that? I kind of know that. They are so easy to win. I have this Russian guy. Believe me it's true, it is true," Turnbull said in his speech.

Loved the U.N speech. Sometimes the powers that be need a little tough love. Very Teddy Rosevelt like!

I am a right wing public assistance hating die hard conservative republican Trump supporter. I had to suffer through eight years of Obongo giving free sht to every piece of sht the world over including countries that wake every morning face the east and pray for our demise. I am only grateful that we weren't stupid enough to vote in another Clinton. That said, I agree with the last poster, some tough love every now and then is a good thing.

I voted for Mr. Trump in the primaries as well as voted for him for president. So I am a die-hard Trump fan and a registered Republican. People that know me, on other Forums know that I am a strong Trump supporter. I am a former US Airborne Army Ranger, College grad, White collar worker, and involved in local politics. I think Mr. Trump is 100% correct about this BS that the cry baby NFL players are pulling.

It disgust me, I have a expansive Military family background, its an insult to America, and the military, try to make that kind of money in a foreign country, good luck, I say fire all of em, and put in good patriotic atheletes who could use the money, I believe in the NFL rule books they are required to salute the flag, which is great, and provide us with entertainment. Excellent write up!

For the NFL debate at least, I agree with you guys.

Something I don't understand is why the players are even allowed to do some of the actions that they do. To clarify, they are hired employees of the NFL team. They represent the team and the NFL while they are in uniform and in the stadium. Yes, they are athletes, but, cynically, they are paid entertainers. They are being paid to do the job of entertaining the fans. While they are doing that job they can be restricted from doing certain actions. Standing up for a few minutes at least pretending to respect their national anthem & country's flag is part of their job or at least should be.

Just imagine what would happen if a Disney employee while working "took a knee".

There were certain things you could not do while in the military, they could even court martial us for a severe sunburn that you got on your off hours. As a cop there are all kinds of American freedoms I am not allowed to participate in. I want my football players to play football, my singers to sing, my actors to act and leave the protesting to those whiny ass liberals who want me to pay for illegal aliens to have healthcare and get all the benefits that we of the military fought for.

So, three in one day...

Paul Manafort and Rick Gates surrender to FBI: Live updates - CNNPolitics
  • Paul Manafort: Former Trump campaign chairman surrendered today to special counsel Robert Mueller. He pleaded not guilty.
  • Rick Gates: The former Trump campaign official also turned himself in this morning. He also pleaded not guilty.
  • George Papadopoulos: Former foreign policy adviser to the Trump campaign pleaded guilty for making false statements to the FBI.
I doubt Trump or any of his direct family will end up being tied directly to any of these efforts. While I'm not a Trump fan I think it's a mistake to say Trump himself was involved without proof. My money is on there being some additional staff members getting indicted, and Kushner being put in further bad light for doing some dumb things, but it'll end there.

That's the great thing about a 2 party system, if one is failing, a better one will replace it, now if we could get a nice middle of the road party, I would be happy. Too far left and too far right is bad for America, meet in the middle and do the right thing, do what is best for our Sovern country and stop worrying about the world.

Now why would you think that? I are you referring to Mr. Trump or 45th President, I think he is a great president and I voted for him and support him 100%. As for the terrorist I think Mr. Trump is correct, that terrorist needs to be tried and given the Death penalty. He should be shot via a firing squad...seven men shooting one shot each. Honestly being a former US Army Airborne Ranger Sniper I would be happy to volunteer to serve on that firing squad. I would shoot the terrorist in the lower gut, a painful fatal location that would be a slow death.

"NYC terrorist was happy as he asked to hang ISIS flag in his hospital room," Trump tweeted late Wednesday night. "He killed 8 people, badly injured 12. SHOULD GET DEATH PENALTY!"

Perfect example of my disgust ^
Why is the president tweeting his emotional response? Does anyone doubt how an American feels about the terrorist? Trump very often addresses the blood lust, and it sounds idiotic.
He throws meat to his followers and they cheer.
He's the tabloid president, an empty shell.

You know the 8 people that the terrorist killed, didn't die as soon as he hit them. They all died in pain and agony, and that took them a couple of minutes to die in the end. What of the other 11 injured people that were hurt, they had a lot of pain and agony too. Especially that one injured person that had to have both of their legs cut off! To top it off that SOB wanted to have a ISIS flag put up in his Hospital room, and was happy about what he did. I guess you feel for that SOB. I feel he should be taken out and throne off the Empire State building and allowed to splatter on the sidewalk...I guess we can't do that because he might damage the sidewalk. Ok fry him in the electric chair until he is totally cooked publically!!!

No Mr. Trump is saying what the rest of us feel and he is NOT PC and willing to say it!!! The man needs to be killed in the most painful way and all his family needs to be deported. The era of PC is over and the Liberal cry babies need a wake up call.

From various 'social media' sites, I think what has some people riled up is Trump responding to the NYC attack but barely a word about the Las Vegas attack with the implication being that who did the attack dictates his response.

It'll be interesting to see if the NYC attacker ends up in Guantanamo like Trump wants.
