During the Fall of 2013 The Walking Dead ratings would often match, or even beat, the ratings of the juggernaut of the Sunday night football in the us. With the Super Bowl coming soon AMC is planning on tackling the competition.

AMC has announced that it is Humans Vs. Zombies in the first ever “Zombie Bowl” that will kick off at 10:00 AM ET on Super Bowl Sunday. As part of the “Zombie Bowl,” AMC will be running every “Humans Vs. Walkers” moment from Season 1 and Season 2 of The Walking Dead. The Walking Dead marathon will run all the way through the big game.

The Walking Dead “Zombie Bowl” helps set the stage for the big event that will occur on the following Sunday. A week after the Super Bowl, horror fans can look forward to the return of new Walking Dead episodes with The Walking Dead Season 4 Mid-Season Premiere on Sunday, February 9, 2014 at 9 PM ET on AMC. In the UK the premiere will be on MOnday, February 10, 2014 on Fox.

Following the brutal events of the mid-season finale, Rick and the group are still reacting to the loss of their home, family, and friends. With the loss of the prison, we see the group of survivors broken apart and sent on different paths, unsure of the others fate. What was a challenging life behind fences and walls grows that much more perilous and precious as they are exposed to new dangers, new enemies, and heartbreaking choices. They will have their faith thoroughly tested — a faith that breaks some of them and redeems others.
