Warp drive nacelles

1963, 1899 called they want every thing back....
The 60's Enterprise had conventional warp drive nacelles, very close to a regular rocket. Nozzle out back, a cylinder and a nose cone. The thrust during warp speed is on the aft end of the nacelle, again like a standard rocket.

The retro fit Enterprise had a very modern and slightly confusing warp nacelle, that I noticed it had no exhaust port on the aft end? I tried to figure out how the exhaust exited the aft end to propel the vehicle forward. I thought the blue chillers on the sides did it, but nope, I thought the exhaust came from the front, again no. So what I learned is the impulse engines did the warping when Scotty lit the fire. I would seem the newer nacelles were there to create a warp bubble, and it was more efficient. Interesting. I guess I'm old school. Thanks Newton!
