I was watching 60 Minutes. (Yeah, I'm showing my age.)
They did a story on sperm donors.
These women went to a party put on by a sperm bank.
They met other women and couples.
The donors were given numbers.
Some of the women asked each other which donor they
used. Some of them had the same donor.
They have 3 children from the same donor.
They get together for playdates now.
They consider the children a family.
They made a website for other donor recipients.
The recipients could leave messages about their children
and some listed the number of their donor.
This donor left a message on that site.
He hasn't met any of the recipients, but
some of them have sent him pictures of their kids.
He is married, and his wife knows about his donations.
He started donating while in nedical school and continued
donating for a while after he was married.
Get this:
The donor put on his sheet that he was 6'4" tall, green eyes, brown hair and
he is a pediatrician. Isn't that a coincedence?
He and his wife are now expecting their own child.
