Also, remember that any program you grab should be used as a stand-alone program. You will pay for any updates or add-ons. Some of the programs are time sensitive as well. Thinking out loud... if the same thread was re-used over & over wiping out the first post of the thread then it'd be a pain to reset the 'read' flag for members. If a new thread was created for each new posting and at the same time the prior thread was marked as deleted (either physical or soft deleted) then it would be closer to what you're describing.

I'll add the idea to the list of things to monkey around with on a slow day.
